Start sander before applying pressure. Check belt tracking before sanding. Oil before sanding with two drops of motor oil in oil hole of front pulley.

To remove belt, press only the front roller into a flat surface, removing tension. To retension belt, use a screwdriver to pry the front wheel toward the front end of the sander.
